The church remembers Irenaeus today. Or at least it remembers some things about him, like how he was Bishop of Lugudnum and wrote lots of stuff putting some heretics right. Some things are strangely forgotten, such as when he died and whether or not he was martyred.
This window at Ridley Hall in Cambridge eschews the martyr’s palm, though others put one in. I guess we will just have to wait till we can ask him…
